Over the last few years, there have been a number of games that are heavily inspired by House of Ashes. This list includes titles like Darkest Dungeon and Gone Home. However, none has managed to capture everything about this game in quite the way it deserves.
The “dark pictures anthology” is a collection of horror stories that were written by American author H.P. Lovecraft and published in 1927. The book has been adapted into many different formats, including audiobook, graphic novel, and film. There are three Randolph journals in the House of Ashes story: “The Journal of Randolph Carter”, “The Diary of Alonzo Typer”, and “The Manuscript Found in the Dark Tower”.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes has a plethora of hidden gems. Ten diary entries left behind by explorers who visited the caverns in the past are among these mysteries. The Temple is a sacred place.

You will control Rachel throughout the chapter named The Temple. She and Eric descended inside the temple, only to find that someone had arrived before them. Once you’ve taken control of Rachel, walk inside the tent and look for the first notebook on the right-hand table.
Following the Fall

Later in the game, during the chapter named After the Fall, you will take control of Jason. He and Nick are walking down a hallway when they stumble upon a tripwire. Successfully complete the QTE and disarm it. The diary entry is just near to the room’s spotlight.
Slayer

You control Nick and are joined by Eric in the Slayer chapter. In a cutscene, the two guys will stumble find a pool of blood and make a joke about it. Turn right after the cutscene to discover the third diary entry.
Part 1 of the Bloodbath

Jason and Nick will go to the catacombs during the Bloodbath chapter. From the prologue, you’ll remember this region. Jason will be under your command. Turn to the left to locate the fourth diary page after you’ve done that.
Part two of the bloodbath

Rachel is still alive after tumbling down a chasm, as you will discover later in the Bloodbath chapter. She wakes up in a bloody, skeleton-infested environment. When you have Rachel under your control, move ahead and to the left of the middle rock cluster to locate some of the explorers’ gear. The sixth diary page will be one of them.

You will control Nick in the chapter The Signal, and your goal will be to make the radio to operate. Outside of the temple, you’ll assume command of Nick. Follow the stairwell to the right. Rather of ascending the slight slope to the tent, turn left and follow the route to a small table with the notebook page on it.
Part One of Enemy of My Enemy

Salim will keep a door open for Jason to crawl beneath in the Enemy of My Enemy chapter. After then, you’ll assume command of Salim. Enter the room in front of you. This chamber has a big stone table with a tablet on it. The seventh diary page is to the right of the. It’s right near to a light source.

Continue until you reach the medical bay in the Enemy of My Enemy chapter. Head to the cell in the rear right side of the room after you’ve taken control of Salim. The ninth diary page may be found within.
The Elder One

Salim and Jason will locate an elevator and use it to descend further into the tunnels. The Ancient One chapter begins here. Once you’ve taken control of Jason, move ahead until you reach the stalagmite and stalactite-filled region. Stick to the left side of the room and you’ll come upon a cocoon with the ninth notebook page nearby.
Aeons of Strangeness

The remainder of the gang will join Salim and Jason once they have followed them for a bit. They’ll access the Star Chamber by crawling beneath some rocks. This is the start of the Strange Aeons chapter. You’ll take control of Rachel if she’s still alive. The last page of the diary lies on the table adjacent to the pedestal.
