Subquests
Now that we’ve looked at the requirements for Recipe for Disaster let’s get into the details of
subquests.
Another Cooks Quest
With the upcoming party in Lumbridge, the cook is preparing for the feast; but he needs your
help. You’re tasked with locating the following items:
● Eye of Newt ( Herblore shops/Betty’s Magic Emporium)
● A Greenman’s Ale(Dragon Inn)
● Rotten Tomato
● Ashes
● A Fruit Blast
You will be gifted 100 coins for the completion of this subquest.
The Feast
The next part of our guide will cover the following eight subquests that lead up to the final battle; defeating the Culinaromancer. So, let’s get into the finer details.
Enter the dining room and begin the feast. Around the table, you will see the members of the
Lumbridge Council seated:
● A mountain Dwarf (White Wolf Mountain)
● Osman (Al Kharid)
● The Goblin Generals (Goblin Village)
● Pirate Pete (Braindeath Island)
● The Lumbridge Guide
● Evil Dave (Edgeville)
● Skrach Uglogwee (Feldip Hills)
● Sir Amik Varze (Falador)
● Awowogei (Ape Atoll)
● Duke Horacio
● Aris (Varrock)
Just before you make yourself known, the Duke will get the strange box event and exit the
room. Osman will also be taken away by Evil Bob; this is when you make your entrance. Soon after, the Culinaromancer will crash the party, attacking everyone at the table with spells.
Thankfully, Aris makes an appearance and freezes everyone in time using “Tempus Cessit.”
This time freeze does not take effect on Aris or the player.
Aris will then inform you that the Culinaromancer was once a cook in Lumbridge and had
threatened death upon the secret council. However, the Duke’s Assistant foiled those plans and trapped the Culinaromancer in a different dimension. Allegedly the currency head cook created some powerful food magic. This magic released the Culinaromancer from his prison. Aris witnessed his entrance and cast her spell to protect the council, with your help, of course. Aris could protect the council alone, but because you assisted the cook in his recipes, she expects you to correct your error. Unfortunately, you only have a little time on your hands at this point, as the magic is causing a temporal paradox. Something of this magnitude could destroy this reality!
Releasing the Council Members
Now the dining hall will be dormant as the spell holds time at a standstill; you now have to free the trapped council members. To do so, you must feed them their favorite foods. Then, with the assistance of Aris and the cook, you must release the members one by one. The order in which you complete these subquests does not affect the outcome, so do them as you wish. Once you’ve fed each member, Aris will teleport them to safety and announce how many members remain.
Completing each subquest grants 1 Quest Point and some access to the Culinaromancer’s
Chest, plus additional rewards we’ll get later.
We also recommend that players start these subquests with a pet kitten (if you don’t have a
full-grown cat.) a cat takes 2.5 hours to grow to full size; if you do this, you can save the Evil
Dave quest until it lasts.
