The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released on the PlayStation 5 and, for the first time, the PC. The single-player campaigns for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are included in the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
According to a recent blog post, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released first on PS5 on January 28, 2022, followed by PC. At this time, there is no official PC release date for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Additional information regarding the PS5 version was also disclosed in the blog post, including the game’s much-anticipated graphical options. There will be three alternative graphic options available for the PS5 version, including:
- Select Fidelity Mode and play at native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate if you have a 4K monitor and desire exceptionally crisp resolution above all else to experience the gorgeous surroundings and intricacies the Uncharted series is renowned for.
- Performance Mode — This mode aims for a frame rate of 60 frames per second.
- Try our first-ever Performance+ Mode, which aims 120fps* at a 1080p resolution if you don’t mind a resolution decrease.
The Performance+ Mode is perhaps the most fascinating of these three options since it will aim 120Hz at 1080p resolution, so if you’re still using a 1080p screen with your PS5, you’ll be able to experience the forthcoming Uncharted Collection in crisp 120 frames per second. Both games’ load times have decreased dramatically, with SIE describing them as “near-instant.” In addition to 3D audio, the remaster will have DualSense’s haptic feedback and adjustable triggers.
Pre-orders for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are now available for all PS5 territories for $49.99. Both a digital and physical version of the collection will be available. You may purchase the update for $10 if you already possess the PS4 editions of each of these games, whether digitally or physically. Even if you possess the original copies, the upgrade option will be available on January 28, 2022, so you won’t be able to get ahead of the game.
To play the remasters, disc owners will have to enter their PS4 game discs into their PS5 every time they wish to download or play the PS5 digital versions. Furthermore, you cannot upgrade with this option if you possess the PS4 discs but not the PS5 disc-free version. For this option, you’ll need a PS5 with a Blu-ray drive. The PC version is set for release in 2022 as well, although the exact date will be revealed at a later date. The game was first shown during the PlayStation Showcase in September.
