Denial is a challenging encounter, but you’ll need to complete this step in order to defeat the boss. You can choose from one of three different starting builds for completing your quest: warrior, knight or cleric.
The “darkest dungeon second assault map” is a quest that can be found in Act 1 of the game. The map has been completed for you to use, if you need help with the quest.
Darkest Dungeon 2 is an early access game that differs significantly from its predecessor. Only the first act is playable for now. Even so, you should plan on spending a few hours overcoming the game’s problems. Here’s how to finish Act 1 – Denial in Darkest Dungeon 2 using our tutorial.
Starting points and how to get to the Inn
You’ll be able to choose four individuals to join your group once Act 1 of Darkest Dungeon 2 begins. After that, you’ll be driving a Stagecoach across a desolate terrain. You’ll have your first encounter with a bunch of peasants shortly. You’ll learn about the Affinity system at this point. It’s a feature in which the replies of your selected character have an impact on his or her relationships with other team members.
You should arrive to the Inn after a few of fights. In this game, the Inn serves as a central center. It’s where you’ll acquire equipment and supplies, such as those that may help you expand your inventory or lessen your stress levels. Similarly, this location features an NPC that may help you allocate Mastery points to improve your talents.
This is merely a little respite before the storm, a chance to catch your breath. Soon, you’ll have to decide which zone you want to visit.

Selecting and cleaning zones
You may visit a few zones in Act 1 of Darkest Dungeon. The Tangle, The Foetor, and The Sprawl are just a few examples. The objective is straightforward: navigate your Stagecoach across the branching passageways until you reach the map’s uppermost part.
However, there are several obstacles along the road. There are certain situations that need discussion replies. Some result in benefits, while others result in punishments. Some examples are as follows:
- Villager encounters (hand icon) – As previously said, you will encounter villagers in need of assistance.
- Encounters with cultists or hostiles (sword or hood) – You’ll come upon a gang of opponents that you must defeat.
- Pathways with barriers (N/A) – Some paths have roadblocks that are really enemy encounters. You have five rounds to vanquish all hostiles. Otherwise, you will not be rewarded.
- No interactions with flames or darkness (N/A) – It’s conceivable that the Stagecoach’s Flame value decreases. When this occurs, you may be assaulted by mobs.
- Study of Academics (star symbol) – There may be prizes or punishments for visiting these areas, as well as a fight with the Shambler.
- Lairs (cave icon) – These are unique settings with three different types of encounters. The third battle is against a one-of-a-kind boss. The Dreaming General, for example, may be found in the Tangle zone.
- All branching pathways ultimately lead to this node, which is guarded by three skulls. There are three confrontations here, but you may leave after winning at least one of them. However, you will not earn any high-end incentives.

After you’ve defeated the Guardian. You’ll come to yet another Inn. It’s time to unwind, de-stress, shop, and so on. You’ll go on your next adventure when you’re ready.
The game will end if you leave your expedition or if all of your characters perish. You’ll still get Hope XP, which will help you improve your profile rating. This gives you access to new things in the pool as well as new people to choose from for your group. As a result, the gameplay cycle resembles that of a rogue-lite. Finally, if you make it through three excursions, the Inn will only provide you with one final option: the Mountain. You’ll be up against a strong boss there. In Darkest Dungeon 2, you’re only one step away from finishing Act 1 – Denial.
